I was surprised to find out that this small camera also has AF. In my impression, MINOX is always the small manual camera, and the best choice is MINOX ML and MB. I never thought that there would be an AF camera. So I ordered it with a flash. This small camera fits in my pocket and takes great pictures, especially with color film. It feels comfortable to hold and shoot. I never thought a plastic camera would make me so excited.
- The focus of this camera is unique. The lens only focuses and shoots when the shutter button is pressed.
- In low light, the shutter is locked to prevent you from taking a picture. Hahaha.
MINOX AF does not have the estimated focusing distance of MB and ML. I think from the positioning, AF is for Contax autofocus, and ML is for Leica estimated focusing distance. In fact, I think MINOX is more practical than other pocket cameras. It takes a low-key approach and is not afraid of breaking.
The Minox 35 AF, released in 1988, was Minox’s first departure from its line of ultra-compact 35 mm scale focusing cameras first introduced with the 35 EL in 1974.
